The date is fast approaching for the Allergy and Gluten Free show this year, sponsored by Sainsburys, ASDA and Sealy Posturepedic; make sure you put the date in your diary, 6th – 8th May 2011. I have attended for the last three years now and find it extremely useful, inspirational and interesting – if a bit of a drain on the bank balance. I usually end up buying loads of great value new products to try, there is always of lots of chocolate… need I say more. Many exhibitors offer promotional prices at the exhibition so make sure you bring a few carrier bags to take home your purchases.
Did you know that this year includes the Sainsbury’s Cook Zone where their very own famous Try Team, plus a host of additional top chefs, will deliver a range of free-from cooking classes to inspire the chef hiding inside you?
There will also be a series of free to attend seminars, the ASDA demo centre showcasing the very best products, therapies and medical advice on the allergy and gluten-free market, and a whole host of exhibition stands from reputable allergy product manufacturers, suppliers and practitioners.
On top of all that are the parent workshops which are free to attend and designed to give parents the key tools they need to carry out daily challenges, and the Asthma UK Workshop where Asthma UK experts will be on hand to give you the very best tips, tricks and important information and to answer your questions.
It’s a must attend event for anyone who has allergies, or has children who do. I guarantee you’ll learn loads, and return with bags of lovely free-from goodies too.
You can read a review of the show which I wrote after going in 2009 in the related articles below and if you would like to attend you can request free tickets here. There is no limit to the number of tickets you can request so get one for your family, friends and colleagues. If you decide to go do get in touch. It would be great to meet up with some like minded special allergy people.
Hope to see you in May…
