Ruth will be sharing her journey and experiences, tips and lessons learnt as well as some poems to lighten the mood. Living with allergies can be frightening but it needn’t rule your life. Ruth’s aim is to help people find positivity in their diagnosis, discover a healthy future and learn to accept their allergies.
About Ruth and what allergy
Ruth works as a freelance copywriter and marketing communications specialist but she also spends a great deal of her time writing articles and features about living with allergies and food intolerances. Her allergy blog, www.whatallergy.com was voted in the top 5 allergy blogs in the UK in 2011 and she is a regular judge at the Free From Food Awards.
Ruth started writing the blog in April 2009 from a passion to share information and help others with allergies. She now also writes on the Talk Health blog about allergies, eczema and asthma.
Who should attend?
Anyone living with allergies or with a child or family member who does. Anyone who suspects they may have a food intolerance but doesn’t know where to start to get help and diagnosis. Mothers, fathers, grand parents and carers. Anyone who wants to know more. So whether you have a peanut allergy or wheat intolerance, or just have questions aout allergies, come along and share your experiences and ask questions.
There will be gluten, dairy and nut free refreshments available.
No need to book, just come along, but please leave all your nuts, dairy and gluten at home!
