Because it’s National Allergy Awareness Week I’m going to do a blog every day and the first is about The Allergy & FreeFrom Show. If you have allergies, coeliac disease of food intolerances this is THE must attend event of the year and is taking place from 4th to 6th July 2014.
And you know what’s best of all? I’ll be speaking on the Sunday about Living with Multiple Allergies – what it’s like being on the allergic march. Eeek! Who talked me into that one Tom Treverton?
Simply click on the image above to book your free ticket to the show.
I would like give you all one huge word of warning before you go, don’t let your guard down at this show. It cannot be freefrom all 14 food allergens so some products may contain some allergens that you can’t eat. Always read labels, ask staff but most of all, if you’re not sure, just don’t risk it. It is as much your responsibility as it is the exhibitors. They may have hired staff to help on the stand who don’t know the products in detail. It’s much better to be safe than sorry. Be careful – please everyone!
If I don’t know a product I would prefer to err on the side of caution and wait until after the show when I have had time to check out cross contamination and ingredients properly.
It’s a crazy show, it gets busy so get there early. Take your shopping bags, preferably borrow your granny’s trolley-on-wheels so you can buy loads of freefrom goodies at great prices. You will also be guaranteed to find some amazing new products too and sample stuff (if you dare!)
And if you go on Sunday, come and give me some support or heckle me from the back!
So come on, show of hands… whose going? We should all try to have a meet up!
